Salvo unequivocal in supporting anti-slavery in construction materials. We conduct all our business activities with honesty and integrity to the highest ethical standards, ensuring transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Within the Salvo Code we advocate fairly traded products, to give customers the choice of fair trade products, and to avoid slave labour in its supply chain. Established in 1995 the voluntary code is for dealers who are committed to high standards and responsible sourcing.
Within the running of our own business we are supported by various suppliers and services including (but not limited to) logistics, cleaning, office management and technology, these suppliers and services are chosen in accordance with Salvo’s high values and commitment to combatting modern slavery.
Taking into account our marketplace structure and its sometimes complex nature and other suppliers’ supply chains it is not possible to monitor and control the conditions of each individual involved in the production of the products. We will continue to regularly evaluate our practices, taking a collaborative approach to monitoring potential areas where we can work to build appropriate solutions to combat modern slavery and protect workers’ rights.
Avoid Modern Slavery.
